BRAG Dream Team: 2020 in Review

When the Coronavirus arrived in March and changed everything, the BRAG Dream Team was ready to use 2020 vision to make the best of the pandemic by taking the safe, social justice path all year long:

February – participated in the Selma to Montgomery 55th Anniversary March bike ride and visited the Equal Justice Initiave Museum and Memorial

March – postponed hosting the national 2020 Youth Bike Summit in Atlanta until October 2021

June – organized a safe (police escorted) Juneteenth Bike Ride in Brunswick, GA with BRAG support and the Geechee Kunda Club began hosting “I Ride Beside Maud” bike rides each month in Brunswick to support Ahmaud Arbery’s family in its fight for justice.

October – launched the national “Justice Journey” bike ride to promote the Youth Bike Summit and support social justice movements in Georgia

December – BRAG Dream Team closed out this historic 2020 with an “I Ride Beside Maud” event featuring Ahmaud’s family members, including his father Marcus Arbery (all PHOTOS are from the December 2020 bike ride).
